Being primarily a Hertfordshire based wedding photographer, I also adore photographing a London wedding and jump at the chance to shoot one whenever I can and a massive thank you to the wedding photography gods as I finally got a chance to shoot at my dream venue ‘The Asylum Chapel‘ in London and wow it did not disappoint.
Holly and Kieron were the nicest couple from start to finish and it was such a humbling experience to see them reciting their wedding vowels in such an intimate, romantic venue. Asylum chapel in Peckham is a Grade II listed former almshouse chapel, it was built in 1826. It was severely damaged in the second world war but restoration began in 2013. And what a beautiful venue, although the brickwork is extremely distressed, it just works so well with its candlelit environment, Georgian ceilings and stained glass windows. I have never seen anything like it, the WOW factor quite literally lives here. Wedding capacity here is up to 120 guests for the wedding ceremony….
